4 Feb Did a couple of the homework problems. Worked out the transformation to find the relation of "proper acceleration" to ordinary acceleration.
6 Feb Go over in detail the resolution of the paradox: How can each observer say that the other's clock is running slow? I emphasize the use of analytic geometry to describe all the action. It's what is in the notes, but it requires questioning and analysis.
Start on quantum effects. The idea of a photon, starting with Planck, but looking at the photoelectric effect first.
